I know this was posted yesterday, but it has had such a profound effect on me, that I wanted to post again for those readers who may have missed it.

Even on the way home from work last night I noted that it was the main topic of conversation on Michael Savage's radio show.

Clearly, there is a major disconnect in this country among the luny left and even some on the right who feel that we should not be in Iraq. The issue is now so much larger than just Iraq. Our physical presence in Iraq and the Middle East for that matter is the best gamut to stop the proliferation of Muslim fanatics into the West.

The article I think also underscores the need to promote the strategy of freedom and democracy in these third world countries.

If the Europeans prefer death to life, there is nothing that can be done to save them.

What? No Bush photos, and hosannas for our leader? Who would want to think about the face of our enemy, truth begone. (sarcasm off)

How did Islam go from being a virtual non-factor to a religion that threatens the preeminence of Christianity on the Continent?

That's not so hard. Self-indulgent european women who find babies inconvenient. No young folks to do the work so they had to get 'em from somewhere. And in they came. The europeans have noone but themselves to blame for their Muslim mess.

I feel so sorry for Oriana Fallaci. An Italian native all her life, she sees her civilization being destroyed by the lunatic policies of the powers that be and the turpitude of her own countrymen. In her waning years, she chooses to speak up about, as she has in the past for things she's felt strongly about (yes, I realize she's not a conservative, but that's not the point) , and so she gets in trouble with the law, basically accused of thought crimes. What a tragic end for her and even more so for Europe. But at least Oriana's going down swinging, which is more than I can say for Europe!!!

Maybe We could insert 'Illegals' for 'Muslims' in this country? That should answer the authors question. How did they let this happen?

Thanks for posting this. Fallaci's mention of Muslims in England during the '70s brought back awful memories of my days as a theatre student in London. In 1978, arrogant sheiks roamed the streets of Earls Court, pushing female British citizens (and naive Yankees) into the gutters while their wives walked behind them wearing horrible metal face masks.

I lived in a small hotel at that time and my "neighbor" was an Arab man who brought home hookers every night. At a certain point, he would begin to beat and harangue the women while I was forced to listen to it through the paper-thin walls. My complaints to management brought no relief and then one night I lost it and ran out into the hallway, pounded on his door, and demanded he stop abusing the girl. During the ominous silence that followed, I realized my life was in danger. I returned to my room while the monster stood in the hallways screaming "Who was that?", banging on doors, and threatening violence. Strangely, that's where my memory ends.

There is a second holocaust coming for Europe.

It may go one way or the other, tip to the Islamics, or to the Euro-whites.

If the blood flows one way, Europe will be destroyed.

If it flows the other, Europe will be saved.

But it is coming, nonetheless, and it is unavoidable.

How did Europe become home to an estimated 20 million Muslims in a mere three decades?

Short term thinking and political correctness with a touch of civil liberties taken to excess.

How was Europe...transformed into a place in which, as Fallaci puts it, “if I hate Americans I go to Heaven and if I hate Muslims I go to Hell?”

...the author, who is stricken with cancer.. has been hounded by death threats and charges of “Islamophobia” (she is due to go on trial in France this June)

The author answered his own question.
