"I understand this - But the reality is the WH has a huge bully-pulpit that every POTUS has used (and most effectively)....GWB has not used this bully-pulpit nearly enough.

Nor has the WH found enough creative ways to get their message out - Additionally the POTUS has not addressed the nation enough (using Cheney in this role...during prime-time speeches would be an excellent idea...or SecDef Rumsfeld)."

Did you know that there have been times when the President requested time to speak during Prime Time and the media refused to put him on? Do you still think the media would put on the Vice President or the Secretary of Defense, when they have refused the time to the President?

Yes, other Presidents have used the bully pulpit effectively. That all ended when a Republican was elected after a Democrat was impeached.

Not completely correct. The WH "asked" for already scheduled events / speeches to be covered by the MSM - The POTUS should be addressing the Nation from the oval office (these type addresses in turn would be covered).

We all know where the MSM job is at (supporting DEM's)...using that excuse for why we are being more effective with getting the facts out doesn't cut it.

But I hear your sentiment.
