"That's not such a bad deal."

Likely few will comply. Why should they? It'll cost them $2,000.

This also encourages a new flood, as they know they will also be awarded amnesty at some point. This is a bad deal. Don't kid yourself, or try to kid anyone here.

Huh. On Brit Hume's show they are talking that so few politicians are willing to attack the problem is because it's not seen as widely unpopular.

Maybe all the complainers on this thread are just complaining and not actually making phone calls to their Congressmen.

Exactly, they know they won't have to, they've never had to before, why start now? Only an idiot would think they would actually pay to receive services they've gotten for free before! (Kennedy and McCain for instance). It's all smoke and mirrors to make the American voter think the Congress is actually doing something to address the problem.

Frankly, most illegals have more disposable cash than many Americans...no taxes, no healthcare, no insurance and all the money handed to them is gravy. They don't blink an eye at the coyote asking 3 large to get them back over the border....it's all part of business, and I don't think $2000 was chosen randomly.....
