No film awards will have any creditability in the near future.

Why does Canada always seem to take every leftist lunacy in the United States and ratchet things up a notch?

in an effort to garner a larger viewer ship, "Brokeback Mountain" will be renamed "Shootout at the KY Corral", to try to market its western theme.

Films celebrating homosexuality are nothing new. There have been tons of them for years. It's just that they all had their own special corner waaay in the back of the video store. And my guess is that they tended not to have "Christ-like figures" in them. Maybe that's what is new.

Gays are prominent in the film industry and have a COMPULSION to get out their agenda. It's time for conservative millionares to form a film studio and get out their agenda.

Why is it that all the perverts, who spend their lives running from the Word of God, always try to liken their obcenities to Christ? They just keep piling abomination upon abomination.

The largest grossing film in Canada made only $6.2 million?
I guess Canadians got sick and tired of this crapola years ago!
To: NYer
There's a good reason it raised very little in the way of money or attention. That is like a US film grossing $4-5 million.
Quebec has always been very supportive of homegrown films, and I am sure many saw it out of curiousity. Not to mention the extreme pro-gay atmosphere that exists in Montreal...

That $6.2 million is mostly in Quebec. Also that is the largest grossing Canadian-made film; US blockbuster films routinely make $20 million or more in Canada.
