Counter Insurgency is a LOT different then Total war. I suggest the Arm Chair Generals leave the military strategy to the pros since it kind of obvious they know NOTHING about it. This is NOT total war. This is limited war. It is as much political as war. LOTS different then island hopping or driving a column off the beach in Normandy during WW2 or holding a hill in Korea or even running a patrol in Viet Nam. This is completely different then any war we have ever fought. Tite slogans and simplistic sound bites do NOT work for this. Read about the El Salavador Option. We have done this before.
