Because people are supposed to have character? Nobody is asking her to politicize her charity. The party asked her to stop by when she was in town and she said no. Which is her right, but I'd like her to stop saying she's a Republican.I've never been a Jessica Simpson fan, but then I'm not a man and do not watch much television. I would suggest that the very fact that she turned down this appearance speaks well of her character. Yes, nobody may have asked her to politicize her charity BUT the fact remains that her appearance would have done just that. You want her to stop saying she's a Republican? I am not familiar with her politics, but if she's not a good enough Republican for you, then perhaps neither am I. LOL

Uh, who is it that makes him "polorized"? His enemies? Idiots?
Bush is in good company with Churchill (with whom he's related)...also "polarized" before he was proven right.
It's as stupid as calling something "controversial". The people that do that are usually the only ones that think it because someone doesn't agree with them.

Can you PLEASE explain to me how that would happen? Bush has nothing to do with the charity. You're saying blue staters would not give to a charity for kids because it's run by a Republican? That's crazy. You obviously are still skipping over the FACT that she was invited to a Republican FUNDRAISER. I and others are intelligent enough to know that the flaming libs and Dems will more than likely NOT support a charity that has anything to do with Republicans, or anyone who attends a FUNDRAISER for Republicans. It appears that she wants the FOCUS to be on the Operation Smile program. Do you really have a problem with that? Amazing....

I don't see how it would and even if it did I can't imagine how it would hurt the children. Basically she's saying, I'm going to embarrass the party I say I support- in a time of war, because I'm afraid of losing the support of those who hate Bush so much they would take it out on disfigured kids.
She's a frickin' vapid loon.

You know, I never figured out just what it is she does. I know that she played some part in the Dukes movie, but is she a singer, a lip syncher, a dancer, an heiress? I can't figure out what the Hilton gal does either. When I was coming up, famous people actually had some sort of gig that they impressed folks with -a musician, dancer, actor, comedian -now it seems as if the glitteratti simply have good genes and hand out half baked opinions.
To: Vision
She's been very public about being a Republican. Her priorities are out of whack at best.
I agree. Since she is a Republican, she could kill 2 birds with one stone by attending.

Man you will not give up on this. I do not believe she would have lost a dollar. And besides, the Red States are more charitable than Blue. Good Grief

Someone as "intelligent" as yourself shouldn't confuse a brilliant, devastating argument with a "rant"
