Because people are supposed to have character? Nobody is asking her to politicize her charity. The party asked her to stop by when she was in town and she said no. Which is her right, but I'd like her to stop saying she's a Republican.

I've never been a Jessica Simpson fan, but then I'm not a man and do not watch much television. I would suggest that the very fact that she turned down this appearance speaks well of her character. Yes, nobody may have asked her to politicize her charity BUT the fact remains that her appearance would have done just that. You want her to stop saying she's a Republican? I am not familiar with her politics, but if she's not a good enough Republican for you, then perhaps neither am I. LOL

I don't see how it would and even if it did I can't imagine how it would hurt the children. Basically she's saying, I'm going to embarrass the party I say I support- in a time of war, because I'm afraid of losing the support of those who hate Bush so much they would take it out on disfigured kids.

She's a frickin' vapid loon.
