FReeper Canteen ~ What's The Origin Of Your Screenname? ~ March 16, 2006
Ms.Behavin

Posted on 03/15/2006 5:59:14 PM PST by StarCMC

What is the origin of your screen name?

Come tell us your story....

How'd ya choose your screen name?
A situation in your life?
Part of a song?
Your Military service?

For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin"
that decided it for me!
I bought a blouse that had that on the tag...
Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin..
Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"

So there ya have it!
Have fun!
Please, no politics in The Canteen..
We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!

Now tell us YOUR story!!

Gay State Conservative:

Lifelong resident of Massachusetts (nicknamed "The Bay State") + the recent decision of our state Supreme Court stating that our Constitution guarantees homosexuals the right to marry (just like normal folks) + politically and socially conservative="Gay State Conservative".

For the record,I got the idea of the term "Gay State" from a Boston talk show host named Howie Carr.He coined it shortly after the aforementioned Supreme Court decision.

I was a lurker until the 2000 when Algore tried to steal the election in Florida. When the Florida Supreme Court overturned Florida's election laws I knew my new call sign.

I ride motorcycles, fast ones. I was out on one of jaunts and got pulled over by a county sheriff foing 92MPH in a 70. He wrote me a ticket. Just hours later, he stopped me again doing 93MPH in a 70.

He walked up to me and in a Texas drawl said, "Whut's da mattah with yew, boyah? You got one ah dem speed addictions?"

When I got home I came across a motorcycle message board I had not seen before. When it asked for a user name, "speed addiction" came to mind. I use the moniker on several boards.

Mine is simple:

10 is my favorite number for whatever reason and my screen name is what has been on the back of pretty much every sports jersey I have had over the years.

a nickname given by loving hubby - -an observation of my...err....posterior after working at a desk for 30+ years.....

Mine's probably bigger than Hillary's - - but it's not the a$$ itself, but the personality attached to them... :-)

"Rose" is my nickname for my wife, "Bear" is her nickname for me. Our first Internet email account (way back in 1993) was shared between us, so we used both of our nicknames to get "rosebear" for our account name. Often, to indicate which one of us was using the account, we would sign messages with "the Bear in RoseBear" or "the Rose in RoseBear". So when we got our solo accounts, those became our screen names. :)

I am an avid arrowhead and Indian artifact hunter. I was born in 1952. Hence the screen name Arrowhead1952.

The main reason I collect Indian artifacts is not for their value, but to preserve the past culture of the first Americans.
