WELCOME TO SANITY ISLAND!
I loved the J-Mac story.....my oldest boy, Michael is mentally challenged and has amazed Mike and I with what he has accomplished even when doctors and teachers told us for years that he couldn't....this story touched my heart like no other..
Yeah, I just watched the video that Dr. Deb gave us a link to.
ABC had to hate to show that...he was so sweet to the boy and then when (J-Mac?) said that meeting the president was a bigger thrill...
Don't think Katie Couric could have handled it.
maica sent him a perfect Email after he went on TV ranting yesterday about how W doesn't work hard. She gave him links to the last several Doses, with a summary listing the number of hits and of the president's activities each day, and told him that he needs to read this thread because the information sources he's using are keeping him in the dark (paraphrase). It was an excellent Email.
Why can't we have everything we want in this life!!
If you find the answer to that, let me know.......it seems like our whole lives are filled with *what ifs*.....fate.....
I hadn't seen the J-Mac game video. It was nice to see both that and the ABC interview with him and his mom (who seems quite level-headed). I was pleased that ABC interviewers didn't ask any stupid questions. (It's pathetic to have to be happy about that.)
We ALL need to do something tomorrow to let the President know just how strongly REAL AMERICANS support him!!
Perhaps we could call both Senator Frist and Ken Mehlman (RNC) and tell them to relay the message?!
Time for me to hit the hay. Thanks for a lovely thread, Gretchen, and thank you for your prayers.
See you tomorrow!
That is indeed a high praise :)
Nobody wants to be the Edgar of the Dose ;)
Yes, maica posted it last night. I'll go look it up and post the link here.
Congratulations what would you like on your toaster?
HAPPY DAY.....your committment, along with all the other Dose Posters is soooo great....thank you.....bowing....

It is late enough in the thread, that this won't interfere with many readers. Here is the note to Dick!
Dick,
Tonight for the second time, I happened to hear you say on a Fox News show that President Bush needs to get out and do something every day. Obviously the media you monitor is not doing an adequate job of portraying what President Bush does publicly, in front of cameras and reporters, on a daily basis.
When Clinton was president, he walked out to the Rose Garden almost every afternoon, made a few remarks, and the media - radio, TV, and print - carried his remarks for the next 24-48 hours.
The week before last President Bush met with President Karzai in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in India and President Musharref in Pakistan.
The only thing that Americans may possibly have seen of that momentous trip, is the President holding a cricket bat.
I would recommend that you check this webpage every evening before you retire. It gives a wonderful wrap-up of the events in which President Bush has participated each day, by gathering all of the photographs that are in the public domain on the internet. You may be surprised at how busy this man actually is.

Hi gw. And you're welcome. =)
BTW, that gif is a more convincing actor than Edgar :)
Thanks for the Dose, Gretchen :)
