2 to 3 years? If the guys in general lockup in Florida are like those in Wisconsin (remember Jeffrey Dahmer?), I'd give this fish about 2-3 weeks!

Justice served on a golden platter--and let it come without further ado.

Please don't remind me! I just hope they find the POS guilty as charged and lock him up with Bubba for a very long time.

PS. You need to add to your tag line that he was a druggie and that's what killed him.

Here's from CourtTV:

""He said he had rough sex and he strangled her," John Smith said.

On cross-examination, defense attorney Steven Schaeffer asked John Smith about a dispute with his brother over property, drug use, a lost job and inquiries John Smith made about possibly obtaining a reward for cooperating with police. John Smith explained that his brother was concerned about his own children and thought that if John Smith could get the reward money, he could set up a trust fund for the children.

Schaeffer also reminded John Smith that he had told police that Joseph Smith claimed he consumed cocaine on the day of the abduction and that the events were "foggy ... a blur," even several days later.

The defense contends that John Smith was acting on publicly available information and motivated by a reward and revenge against his brother over a theft."

Smith tearfully apologized for his crimes, telling Owens that he took large amount of heroin and cocaine trying to kill himself before he abducted Carlie

Oh, and that's supposed to make it all better? Execute.

If the punishment were swift, I'm all for it. But did you all know that people on death row are treated so much better than the general prison population? It makes me sick to think that not only will it be decades before this guy dies, but those 20 years will be relatively easy on him is even worse.

If he spends less than a decade waiting to be executed, I'll be amazed.

He was given two life sentences for kidnapping and rape, and death for the murder.

I know how frustrating it is to see justice done, but remember these things.

1) He will in a cell, on death row.

2) He will live everyday knowing that it will be among his last.

3) One day, there will be the final judgment and he will know, know the exact time of his death.

4) Then he will have to live with what he did until the moment he dies.

There will be pain and suffering on his part, but who will care. He'll die and go straight to Hell.

Justice will be done.

The forward thinking liberals running Wisconsin didn't have a death penalty, so Dahmner ended up with "death by broom handle". And they say we're barbaric.
