One item that I have only recently understood is our real reason for choosing Iraq. As it sits now, Iran must go through the US lines to attack Israel. Or send nuclear weapons over our troops. In either case the sleeping tiger will be awakined. I don't see the US attacking Iran until this happens. I wonder if the Mullahs could be this anxious to welcome the 12th Imam.

Someone here on FR has occasionally posted a map showing troop locations in the middle east - it's quite telling, because Iran is virtually surrounded.
