The aftermath could possibly have been planned better however it doesn't change much now. It is what it is and has to be dealt with and I think most have figured that out.

Rummy simply placed too much faith in the prewar reports from the Iraqi "resistance", inside and outside the country that virtually all Iraqis would rally to the banner of freedom and democracy. There was a pre-invasion tendency to disparage the irregulars like the "Fedayeen Saddam" and the "foreign fighters", and to overestimate the danger posed by the regular Iraqi Army formations. Initially, in the euphoria of the fall of Baghdad, it seemed as if Rummy's assumptions were operative. There were, after all, the live pictures of Iraqis, many of them Sunnis, pulling down the statue of Saddam Hussein (and we all have been conditioned to believe that television images don't "lie").

What has fueled the insurgency is that 50% of our own country is rooting for the enemy. Self absorbed rats are so preoccupied with furthering liberal causes through elected leaders, they view this war as an opportunity to take down their opposition. Unfortunately, us losing the war may have disastrous consequences down the road....including nuclear fallout in our urban areas.

Liberals in 2006 remind me of a sewer rat scraping the ground at a piece of cheese ignoring the flood waters rise all around it.

They are too self absorbed to realize that now is the time to unite against the muslim vermin and save their radical agenda for later. IF they don't, we'll all sink.
