In Tehran alone, the 600 mobilized 18-wheeler paddy wagons previously put in place for the March 8th commemoration of International Women's Day were left in place to facilitate arrests and detentions.

So, how long is it going to take the people to figure out to slash the tires on these mobile prisons? As a matter of fact, slice the tires of all the Basiji's vehicles the minute they leave them. They won't be taking anyone off to prison unless they walk.

It isn't a pagan religion. Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest monotheist world religions.

Chaharshanbeh-Souri is an ancient Iranian festival dating at least back to 1700BCE of the early Zoroastrian era. Norooz (Persian New Year) is also based on the Zoroastrian concept of Good & Evil (Ahura Mazda & Ahriman), symbolically Norooz represents end of winter and beginning (Rebirth & Renewal) of life in Springtime.

Various mentioned festivals such as Norooz and Chaharshanbeh Souri are an inherent part of Iranian (Persian) culture & identity, regardless of what has been and is imposed on Iranians as a socalled religion of Islam.
