(STNG) CHICAGO U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have deported a 36-year-old Colombian man convicted of raping, stabbing and kidnapping a female victim at knifepoint, permanently disfiguring her, in 1991.
Jorge Granada-Velasquez was deported to Bogota, Colombia, on Monday night, under the escort of two government officers after recently being released from prison in Joliet, according to ICE spokeswoman Gail Montenegro.
Granada-Velasquez, who entered the country in 1990 as a legal permanent resident, was convicted of holding the female victim against her will on May 15, 1991, raping her at knifepoint and stabbing her numerous times in the nose, leg and shoulder, according to an ICE release.
He pleaded guilty in 1993 in Cook County Circuit Court to 12 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, four counts of aggravated kidnapping and three counts of aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery, the release said. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Granada-Velasquez lost his permanent resident status when he was convicted and was ordered deported after finishing his time in prison, Montenegro said.

He raped and stabbed somebody here in this country and we are letting him go? He should be in prison waiting to be executed.
Looks like he didn't do those 30 years.
Vicious rapes should qualify for the death penalty.
I wonder why Yale isn't trying to recruit him...?
This is bizarre... being an LPR is not a get out of jail free card.
Hes probably laughing all the way back to columbia.. the govt is even paying for his flight back home!
He ought to be extradited to hell.
How much do you want to bet he will be back across the border in no time.
Couldn't we deport him to Antartica wearing just his tighty whities?
That's what I noticed too!
WTF?!
As opposed to those kind, gengle, loving rapes???
He did 13 years. Not enough, mind you, but "we are not letting him go" in the way you suggest.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
send him to Kodiak Island.
"He did 13 years. Not enough, mind you, but "we are not letting him go" in the way you suggest."
Thanks for that clarification.
Statutory rape should, in many cases, be excluded.
Should have deported him but kept his nads here
That's what I'm thinking...
will probably be in line for a new Gold Card.
His 30 years aren't up yet.
Whatever happened to "truth in sentencing?"
