If there is, you can bet it's got a Los Angeles class attack sub up it's baffles and one or more P-3s above it. Probably a frigate or three to greet it the next time it surfaces (or snorts) to recharge it's batteries.
The Iranians do have a few Kilo (Soviet/Russian built) subs. But the east coast of the US is a long way for one of those. Range is reported to be 7,500 nm when snorting at 7 knots. It's farther than that, but they could be refueled in a neutral port, or by a surface ship in some bay in west Africa somewhere. Of course it would take them 1,710 hours or about a month and a half. Less time if they spend considerable time on the surface. But if they did that, and maybe if they snorted all the way, most of the crew would be sick as dogs when they got there. They only have three of them, and reports are that the Iranians are having problems operating the Kilos even in the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea, let alone out in the open waters of the Indian Ocean and Atlantic.
This is probably a Russian/Soviet one, but it is a Kilo.
