Arabs are considered caucazoids last i looked....so why is race even brought up here

I actually think it's unseemly for conservatives to play race cards and think it's perfectly reasonable for Americans to be wary of Muslims, muslim Arabs or whomever has something of a track record of being against our interest.

I am not to worry much about cartoons. I belong to the American ethnic group most often skewed....white southern christian male

but...i leaned toward supporting the port deal for pragmatic reasons because I felt W owed these sheiks for their help in the WOT

which puts me in a minority here

on the other hand I did not support bombing christians to help muslims in the balkans though i was aware it was a bit more than that....i knew it could come back on us and it did a bit

W going on about race reminded me of Harrietgate of which I was quite angry with him and he sent his minions out to charge gender bias

ALL OF THIS PC RACE/GENDER PANDERING BY CONSERVATIVES IS ABOUT AS APPEALING TO OUR MOVEMENT AS NAZI TATTOOS

Sorry, all you need to do is look at some of the posts on FR and at letters to the editor to see that it very much was about anti-Muslim bias and Bush was right to call his critics on that. Your statement illustrates that. If Americans really were looking at a "track record" and not "race" for lack of a better term, they would be looking at a country with a very good record in aiding us in the war on terror and not merely looking at them as "Muslims."

I'm getting a little tired of the claim that Bush was using "the race card". If someone criticizes, say Jesse Jackson, for his behavior and comments and defenders say, you're just doing that because you're racist. That is playing the race card. If someone opposes Jesse Jackson by arguing , "Hey, blacks have a track record of acting like that." That is racism and people are right to call it as such.
