Slander refers to spoken word ("S"lander - "S"poken)
Libel is the written stuff. But if you really want to be cool, use the generic term, "Defamed."

Thanks...legalese is not, and has never, been my forte. Worse, in one of my Masters' degree classes, the difference was explained...and it still eludes me.
