and that clearly identified the deal as one involving the sale of a company that held operating contracts for gantry cranes at various terminals where they load/unload container ships.
That does sound like what the WSJ had been reporting for months. Current stories include other operations that you would think would be bigger news.

It was, at the price being paid, a chump change deal (in that particular industry). I fear that folks today have no concept of what a billion dollars buys ~ 'tain't all that much when it comes to buying cranes built out on a mud flat next to a ditch full of water.
