Seems a bit redundant to me.

Yeah, I know what you mean -- it sort of seemed (to me too) that the author of these articles kind of "winged-it" when writing them, but (somehow) he managed to get out the message about feminists in a round-about way. (His writing kind of reminds me of some of the homilies given by priests at Masses I attend: the priest hems and haws around the edges, but in the end SOMEHOW gets the message out to the faithful....hehehehe....)
