sounds like some of the people on my libertarian ping list :-)Although the food part is definitely not me.I'm running a lifelong scientific experiment to see how many double cheeseburgers a human body can digest before the heart explodes violently

Libertarian ping.To be added or removed from my ping list freepmail me or post a message here

...right-wing hippies

(Groan) Typical MSM dogma. Plenty of "right wingers" in this country but no "left wingers" Lot's of "right wing" talk radio, no "left wing" talkers. Plenty of "right wing" congressman, no "left wing" congressmen"

I could go on and on, but you get the point. Just one of the 1000+ reasons you can't trust the media.

And no, I am not talking about Dreher per se, I am familiar with his work and know he is a true conservative. I am talking about the media in general. Those of us who are conservatives have no problem saying we are to the right. What gets me are the "progressives" who pose as pragmatic centerists who in reality are way too the left.

I have no problem if that's the way they see themselves. What is an issue for me is how the media plays along.

Theodore Roosevelt :

Big Game hunter
Child Labor laws
National Park system
Gunboat Diplomacy
Devoted Husband and Father

Humanitarian, Naturalist, Warrior

Behold my tag line, which is written on a bronze plate on a boulder at his graveside...

....a few yards away from Harry Chapin's grave, the man who started World Hunger Year, a clearinghouse for information on resources for the hungry all over the world to avail themselves of, including sustainable agriculture....

...near the small old wooden crosses marking the graves of colonial slaves who expended their lives where they eventually fell....

....a few yards away from the first Audubon park in the world, Audubon being a friend of T.R.'s, and whose journals, filled with some of the best wildlife paintings ever made, and much to the consternation of modern American left-wingers far and wide, equally filled with recipes.

"In the lifelong fight for righteousness, the watchword for us all is "Spend, and be Spent."
