I am not a ONE issue voter.. but once someone is pro-choice- they lose my vote. I do not base my morals on politics.
I base my politics on my moral values. We don't kill innocent life for the sake of protecting someone from emotional tauma. Besides, the emotional trauma of an abortion is enough torture...
I have yet to find one woman, like me, who regrets giving their child life after a rape. NOT ONE!
You do not have the right, nor do I to tell a woman that has been raped that she must carry that Child. I have worked for Pro life causes for 35 years at least and will continue to. I would never tell you to not keep it, that is your decision. I think that we do not want this Thread to be an Abortion thread, that is not what it is for. I pointed out that when we are winning on the issue, please do not throw a Monkey Wrench into it.
That struck a chord with me as I visited with a lady from church today. She is raising the most delightful child who was conceived through rape of her 16 year old daughter. I simply cannot imagine the life of this lively little girl cut short in her mother's womb. Her birth mother acts as a loving doting aunt but one day will finish the raising of her child.
