He really seemed to have a very sharp mind as he spoke.
And I always thought he was just a pretty-boy ambulance chaser. Actually, I think Edwards is fairly intelligent--he just has fallen in with the wrong crowd.

Actually, I think Edwards is fairly intelligent--he just has fallen in with the wrong crowd. Edwards is definitely intelligent. He's a very successful trial lawyer. As such, however, he's trained to put forward whatever information will win his case and suppress, discredit or ignore anything else, regardless of any moral or ethical considerations. "Winning" overrides all other concerns. "It's how the system works."
The bad crowd he fell in with was the ABA. That then led him to the "hard stuff," the dims.

Yeah, he is - without the pretty, and without the morals of the usual slip and fall lawyer.
Remember his question to Cheney during the debate? And remember how he didn't even realize that Cheney was being ironic when Cheney thanked him for his concern about his family?
