I have one of those segments TIVO'd because you cannot believe what he said about Hillary. It's just unreal and so nasty, I am surprised it aired.

I happend to catch one of those Cardinal segments during the Olympics when I happend to be up early enough to watch the hockey coverage on USA Network, and I was channel surfing during an intermission and he said something about Hillary that was pretty nasty but funny!

It was reported that Helen Thomas wore green curtains w/a curtain rod and sang!

Isn't that a rip off of a Carol Burnett skit?  Well, at least the old bat steals from the best.

The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. ........... Mencken said something to that effect, but I don't have the quote handy.

A cynic is a man who, when he smells flowers, looks around for a coffin.

Oh ...... that's not it.

One of these days, I will transfer it to a cd/dvd (whatever) and e-mail it to you. It's really raunchy.

I happened to hear that. It was a speech to newspaper editors and publishers. There was a Q and A after the speech, and the President was very good, and the audience did laugh quite a bit. (Not required as a matter of courtesy, Huck. It was regular old voluntary laughter.)

Yep, former. He was beat like a drum by Dole.

Wow.......... how did I miss that?

Anyhow, I saw him speaking for a few minutes the other day with Kemp at that Council of Foreign Relations meeting. He really seemed to have a very sharp mind as he spoke. I think this guy still has a real political future, at least we will always know that his hair will look good.

I used to like to say that John Edwards was the political equivalent of breast implants. I might have to discard that.

;-)

Thanks rodguy911, we missed you.

Here 's this week's Media Nuggets

###### Tom DeLay was in Washington attending a party the night his primary results came in hosted by YES, lobbyists Bill Paxton and Susan Molinari. Suddenly, MSNBC reporter Norah O-Duh!-nel showed up & asked DeLay why he was in Washington. DeLay replied - "Do you know what the Patriot Act is? Have you heard of it? I just voted on it."

###### Newsday inflated it's circulation by as much as 98,000 copies a day between 2002 and 2004. - Former Newsday staffer reveals details after plea deal.

###### Brit Hume, the Washington Managing Editor and his wife Kim Hume, Vice President and D.C.Bureau Chief, are profiled - "At home with the Humes" - in the latest issue of Southern Living Magazine.

###### Great News About Jobs everywhere except at Washington Post which is cutting 80 Newsroom Jobs & closing at least two foreign bureaus due to declining circulation & reduced ad.earnings.

###### Jim Rutenberg NYTimes media-writer will replace Elizabeth Bumiller in WH, who is taking an year leave to write a book on Condi.

###### Allthough still the cable-leader, Fox News ratings slide 15 to 20% during February. Slide is almost equal on all the shows - the most affected was H&C which lost a little over half million viewers and down to #4 from #2 status.

###### On International Women's Day, Hillary Clinton was at the National Press Club encouraging women to become entrepreneurs. An instant laughter stunned Hillary when she mentioned her husband's foundation intends to train women.

###### Rush Limbaugh is an avid Mac-user & openly invited Steve Jobs to our side several times. Now, Rush and Apple techies are working to introduce Rush's new audio & video podcast service via Apple's iTunes Store.

###### WSJ's political reporter John Harwood forgot his day-job & behaved like a dem. at Hillary's National Press Club meeting which is against WSJ ethics. Word at WSJ is what happened a year ago to Al Hunt might happen to him now. By Media's Revolving door magic, he will land at NBC.

###### CEO Dick Parson admits, Time magazine became irrelevant now & needs to change.

REALLY good news seen Mr Pence get out there more. He has a message that the Republican Leadership REALLY should be listening to. Just a solid guy all round. Plus with his background in Talk Radio he is a really excellent communicator. Interesting to note Reagan started in Radio also I believe.
