Your point is well taken. I voted for W in the last election (held my nose) because of the Abomination that is JEffin'K.

The prior two elections, i voted Constitution Party. The CP went wobbly on the WOT (Peroutka especially) and they lost my vote because of it.

You are correct about lower court judicial appointments and about tax rate reductions (esp. after what His Slickness had done - remember the retroactive tax on Social Insecurity?).

However, W has done a number of very unwise things: Pills for Grandma, Farm Bill, Guest Worker proposal, etc. It is actions like these that deserve criticism.

Any increase in Medicare programs like the Prescription Drug Program is and was a mistake that Bush can be faulted for. I would add the Campaign Finance Law, that should have been vetoed, and the imposition of quotas on steel imports which did more harm than good, as examples of other major mistakes in this administration. The overspending by the Federal Government I would place at the feet of Congress. Without the line item veto Presidents are hampered in dealing with out of control spending by Congress.
