Mideast governments will never be our "partners." Those governments are run by the enemy.

Actually, our ports are pretty much run by the Longshoreman's unions, and they are run as a joint venture by the Mafia and the Chicoms, both of which are definitely the "enemy".
The fact you didn't mention either party is suspicious and leads me to evaluate the probability that you are an agent of Chicom disinformation.

Maybe now the UAE will start taking such sentiments to heart, now that they are apparently not only being voiced by nutball morons, but by the Congress of the United States.
Maybe they'll decide it's too risky to buy from Boeing, Northrop and Caterpillar. After all Congress may decide it's too risky to sell spare parts to Eh-rab devils.

With that type of protectionist thinking, no one can be our friend. As a matter of fact, it is that type of protectionist thinking that keeps our enemies from becoming our friends.</p>
Actually, the UAE has come a long way towards building good relations with the world of nations as a global entity.
Many people cite the UAE's involvement in shipping nuclear technology, heavy water, and etc to Iran and Pakistan. This charge fails to say that such shipments did not originate in the UAE and had passed through several ports along the way.
People also cite that two of the 9/11 hijackers came from the UAE. Big deal. The hijackers could have come from our own country for that matter.
The UAE, if given the patience and continued good relations, may even become the United Arab Emirate States, a democracy.
