hey should have started looking neyond Bush a year ago. HE IS NOT RUNNING AGAIN. We need for the weak spines that be to find someone who will run and can win. Condi says, "No way!"
So who??
"embattled Bush presidency" is no fault or reflection of President Bush but of the idiots attacking him.
That may be, but the fact we have to elect a new President in 2008 is Bush's fault, doncha know.
If the leftist media drills into the news at every chance that "it's Bush's fault", then people on both sides of the aisle will eventually buy into it, as is happening.
It's a good thing Bush has a moral compass and ignores the polls. Those who once supported him obviously don't.
Sorry, I'm not familiar with that Republican party anymore. I fear that if the 'pubbies don't lose in 2008, conservatives will have no chance at all of winning in 2012.
And you know what? These Republicans are going to look like petty, wimpy, politicos who didn't have the courage of leadership.
This part of the base has already been deflated. Somebody had better get on the ball. November ain't far away.
I guess I'm one of those idiots.
I don't like to think of attacking GWB, since I like and respect the man himself, regardless of his bumbling, frat-boy nature.
That being said, who in the world is running the show for him? Harriet Meirs for the SC? Get real. The Chinese (COSCO) should have been ejected from port terminal operations about one week after 9-11, and no Islamic government interests allowed near them. I have no problem with NATO countries operating port terminals. Why isn't the AMT killed off already? What about reducing social spending.
I know a lot of this is the fault of Congress, absorbed as they were concerning Terri Schiavo, steroids in baseball and other silly crap (anything for face time on the boob tube) that nothing else could be done. DeLay's comment about there "being no fat to cut" in the budget would make me laugh if it weren't so pitiful.
We need to start hunting RINOs, but with the current leadership of the RNC, I don't see it happening.
Meanwhile, I don't really care about the GOP's '08 prospects.
They've proven to me they don't deserve leadership.
TRUE leaders don't preach lies and misinformation to justify siding with a misinformed public, made hysterical by these same lies and fears pumped into them from their OWN politicians AND media.
Oh, and the GOP can forget my taking a week off to help them this November. It ain't happening. Let the two party cartel propagandists and third party baptists do the grunt work.
A pox on both their houses!
Every primary ballot should have an...
A.
B.
C.
D. None of the above
None of the above would win most of the time for me.
I would hope they're looking beyond Bush since he isn't running.
What marroons.
You're a rat disruptor, and your language reveals it.
That being said, who in the world is running the show for him? Harriet Meirs for the SC? Get real.
Miers ain't on the SCOTUS Roberts and Alito are.
DeLay's comment about there "being no fat to cut" in the budget would make me laugh if it weren't so pitiful.
If you don't like DeLay, you ain't no conservative. Are you feeling a bit pissed-off because the conservatives in TX didn't abandon the Hammer? The drive-by media polls let you down? ain't that too bad...
and what does DeLay have to do with the 08 elections. I think you're just a little liberal cry-baby.
We need to start hunting RINOs
RINOs like DeLay? Why have you not been banned from FR already?
Oh great. Just what we need here at FR, another a-hole Bushbot who can't abandon partisan whack-jobbing long enough to think about the country. I don't care if you have been posting here for six years.
Tom DeLay is a poster boy for what is wrong with the GOP today, and this has nothing to do with his legal troubles for which I hope he comes out smelling like a rose. If someone wants to claim conservatism and spends one dime of my money on anything but regulating interstate commerce and defending this nation, he/she/it is NOT a conservative. This includes (but not limited to) investigating my gun safe, garden, medicine chest, and what's under the hood of my car(s). It especially includes ALL aspects of "compassionate conservatism", ie "free drugs for geezers", "faith based initiatives", any of the 399 programs under the dept. of HHS which have not been eliminated over the last six years, the continued existence of the depts. of Energy and Education, passing an act like No Child Left Behind.....I could go on a few days.
The truth hurts, and RINOs like Bush and DeLay have done severe harm to this nation by neglecting a basic duty of DEFENDING OUR BORDERS. I don't give a flying fig about where family values stop, but US citizenship, rights and privileges STOP AT THE BORDER unless you are here legally. If you are here illegally, you HAVE NO RIGHTS AT ALL! No health care, no anchor babies, no welfare, no education. This especially includes that little free assembly in Chicago today that should have been swarmed by ICE agents. "But...but....but we couldn't do THAT because we might alienate some Hispanic (whatever the hell that is) voters." I know stuff gets tight when you only win by 3% or so, but maybe if someone stood on their hind legs and called Islam a death cult bent on political domination not deserving of first amendment protection instead of a "religion of peace" while citing all the incidents over just the last 30 years, the multicultural dems wouldn't have a chance. You don't have to go into the last 1400 years, which are no different, but just stick to the stuff that voters can remember personally. There is plenty.
More specifically, babies born here should be Citizens as it is stated in the constitution. When they are born on our soil to illegals, they should be put into foster care and the mother deported to southern Chile.
Where is the flat/fair tax? What happened to the Barrett Report? Evidently, we just can't get into that with all the pressing national interests in Terri Schiavo and steroids in baseball. I guess cheating in NASCAR is a national crisis too.
GWB has a good moral compass regarding abortion and taxes, but that's about it. I happen to like bumbling frat boys with a conscience. He has a sorry staff, and the entrenched bureaucrats at various agencies give him and the rest of us a hard time.
I'm a disruptor. My language reveals it. Harriet Meirs (Miers...whatever) isn't on the SC and Roberts and Alito are because of people like ME. I don't like DeLay's RINO politics. There aren't enough conservatives in TX, or the Rangers would be on the border with varmint rifles shooting the sheet out of the Mexican military incursions as well as the occaisional "immigrant". I'm not as liberal as you. The reason I haven't been banned from FR already is I think for myself without having to hear what el-Hushbo has to say from his RNC masters.
A great President or VP anytime IMO.
Ted Olson....
The Congress has lower polls then the President. If I were Bush I would run away from Congress.
News flash**** AP just realizes Bush is not running in 2008!
I got you beat by 6 years newbie, and I'll be here long after you are banned...again.
Tom DeLay is a poster boy for what is wrong with the GOP today
Then I don't want to be right. You got a Senator or national GOP figure you support? I doubt it. I bet the best you can come up with is a no-name congressman who voted for every budget but still complains about it. Tell me who your heroes are genius.
I happen to like bumbling frat boys with a conscience.
You're full of crap and even funnier you think people are buying it.
I'm a disruptor. My language reveals it.
We agree on these points.
I don't like DeLay's RINO politics.
Well, There you go again.
The reason I haven't been banned from FR already is I think for myself without having to hear what el-Hushbo has to say from his RNC masters.
Give it time. It happened before and it will happen again.
I'll ask you what I've asked on FR dozens of times. Take your time in replying; I've never gotten an answer, so I'm used to waiting.
What are the core, nonnegotiable principles of the Republican Party? What can we assume from a Republican candidate and/or officeholder? What can we count on?
Smaller government? No. More liberty? No. Balanced budgets? Obviously not. Constitutionally-limited government power? Hell no. Elimination of wasteful spending? Laughable - the Republicans won't even take PBS off the taxpayer teat. How about a reduction in the absurd growth of spending? Of course not. And whatever happened to those promises to kill off the Dept. of Education? It doesn't educate anybody, and was promised to be shut down; instead, Republicans have created more Cabinet departments.
So, Republicans, how's that "limited government" thingie you've been promising us for decades coming along . . . . . . hmmmmmmm?
Go for it. Defend these lying weasels.
The GOP '08 slogan: "We promise we won't piss away another 14 years. Really. Trust us!"
Screw both Big Stupid Government parties. A free America will do just fine without these free-spending, greedy, power-mad claques of parasitic bozos.
