Tancredo Says He's Being Snubbed by GOP

Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) "claims that he is being intentionally excluded from this weekend's big GOP gathering in Memphis," the Tennessean reports.

"The conference, which is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of Republicans before the 2008 national convention, will include speeches from six men who are eyeing a White House bid."

The Hotline has the latest from the conference.

The Republican record on immigration is an embarassment...Tancredo's presence might draw attention to it

He's not being excluded by me. Unless something pops up, he has my primary vote.

It's amazing what standing up for America's and Americans' well being will do for you when you talk about sealing the border.

I guess all the RINOs are worried about an increase in cocaine prices due to a tighter border, after a 20 year long price drop and quality increase during the War on Drugs.

Tancredo has the support of the rank and file conservatives. When a new immigration proposal is floated, I always look to his reaction first. I know he won't sell us out for big business.

Wonder how Tancredo feels about Customs and Border Protection ( http://www.cbp.gov ) being in charge of ports security, in addition to their noteworthy performance on our southern border?

It doesn't hurt Tancredo's campaign at all to release stories like this, does it? It's all part of the plan.

Tancredo sounds like a whiny brat. It doesn't help his campaign to call attention to the fact that he isn't getting attention.

Sounds like a little child stomping his foot and saying "what about meeeee".

I plan to vote for him in 08; whether he runs or not.

Tancredo has occasional bouts of foot in mouth disease.

He went after DeLay saying he should resign about five minutes after the charges were read.

Yet more evidence of the country-club, compassionate Republicans purging conservatives from their ranks. I'm sure I'll be called a DU troll or a "wing nut daily" type for suggesting this.

Tancredo wants to be on the outs with Republican Party. In case you haven't noticed, nobody is too happy with the Reps lately. He wants to be seen as an outsider...so he can address illegal immigration and out of control spending. You know, like conservatives are supposed to.

Can anyone else see the scenario? Hillary v. Allen v. Tancredo? 1992 redux?

Many of them treat Dr. Coburn the same way because he is serious about cutting back on spending.

Yes it does...it draws the clear distinction between Tancredo and Republican leadership on an issue where Tancredo has been way out front, the Republican leadership has been completely absent and most Republican voters support Tancredo's position
