I'm glad SOMEONE here on FR who is not a member of the cult of omnipotent Federal Government realizes this. Soooooo, someone please tell me how good of a conservative Gov. Perry is in TX again, please. That is one example.
The reason there are jobs no American is willing to do is this illegal rabble has driven wages down far below the basic benefit level of welfare.
Seal the border, ship the illegals back and cut off welfare.
According to an article in the Phoenix paper yesterday, the bill in the legislature appropriating $10 million would pay for 100 guardsmen for 311 days.
Well, let's do the math........10 million divided by 311 days equals 32,154.34 per day divided by 100 guardsmen equals 321.54 per day. Last time I checked, guardsmen did not make that much. So, where do the rest of the cash go?
President Bush will soon denounce this as a violation of human rights.
Wonder if Drudge will have those 3 inch headlines about this like he had yesterday for his inaccurate story about her actions.
Don't bet on it, but don't fret. We Arizona voters know how two-faced she is. Our local paper reported that two State Legislators (Allen and Paton) called her a liar - but not in so many words - because of her actions yesterday.
Here's an excerpt of the story from the Sierra Vista Herald
I dont think she has any real expectation of doing it, he said.
Asked if she was calling her a liar, Allen responded, There is a difference between what she says and what she does.
Thats also the assessment of Rep. Jonathan Paton, R-Tucson. We have seen that this governor does not follow her promises with any actions that are credible.
A Tucson radio station is running a promo to name the State Pie. Given all the mess going on in Phoenix, I'd nominate the Mud Pie...
Who cuts the greens on those fairways at those resorts where those visitors stay, he asked. Who cleans those rooms? Who builds those buildings?
If the resorts paid a decent wage, I'm sure there are a lot of Americans who'd be willing to do that work.
BTTT
I absolutely agree with everything you wrote. Until Napolitano stuck her finger in the wind and figured out that she was on the wrong side of overwhelming public anger, she was singing the opposite tune including vetoing dozens of bills aimed at this problem and campaigning against Proposition 200. Everything she is finally doing now is aimed at maximum political impact and minimum practical impact.
Nevertheless, I appreciate the symbolic thumb this sticks in Bush's eye. He richly deserves it. It is his Constitutional duty to secure the border and he is AWOL.
" A Tucson radio station is running a promo to name the State Pie. Given all the mess going on in Phoenix, I'd nominate the Mud Pie..."
We'd need rain for that!

The source of this travesty is Bush.. To think Bush does not know about this is silly.. If YOU know; Bush knew a long time ago.. The question one must ask hinself.. Is WHY is Bush allowing and veritablly supporting this insurgency.?.
