Driver Involved In Highway 99 Crash Arrested
PORTLAND, Ore. - The man police believe was responsible for a deadly crash on Highway 99 over the weekend was arrested Tuesday upon leaving the hospital.
Abdelfattah Marzouk, 46, is charged with Manslaughter I and Assault III, with additional charges of Reckless Endangering expected as well.
The charges stem from a fiery crash Sunday afternoon that took the life of a McMinnville woman and left three others injured, including Marzouk.
The crash happened on Highway 99 near the Highway 217 onramp.
Witnesses reported seeing Marzouk speeding into the area and slamming into a car, which then careened into another vehicle and burst into flames. (snip)
