Unrest in Pakistan Setback for Terror War
(Full Story)

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan -- A week of unprecedented urban fighting in the wild tribal belt of North Waziristan has left scores dead and forced thousands to flee their homes, raising the stakes in Pakistan's war on Islamic militancy along the Afghan border.

A jumbled alliance of foreign militants, local tribesmen and Islamic students eager for jihad have stepped up resistance in a region where the army already claims to have wiped out al-Qaida as a viable fighting force.

The unrest, brewing for months, is a setback to the U.S.-led war on terror. Further hampering that effort are deteriorating relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan over Afghan claims that Taliban leader Mullah Omar is hiding in Pakistan and suicide bombers are training here.

Five arrested over London cartoons protest


Five men were arrested today over their alleged role in protests outside the Danish Embassy in London last month against cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad.

Four of the five were held on suspicion of incitement to murder and all five are suspected of "using threatening words or written material to stir up racial hatred".

During the demonstrations in Central London on February 3 and 4, protesters held placards threatening a repeat of the September 11 or July 7 terror attacks. Among the slogans were "Massacre those who insult Islam" and "Europe you will pay, your 9/11 will come".(snip)

Rush pointed out yesterday how much time is devoted to their need to gloat over poll numbers instead of presenting news stories that matter to Americans. No wonder conservative radio hosts have such a large following - we are forced to seek other venues to find the news. Which of course, leads us back to FR and TM - where we find it (sometimes days) faster and MUCH more that is never reported by the MSM at all.

DP World Unveils Port Operation Sale Plans

WASHINGTON - A Dubai-owned company said Wednesday it plans to sell all its U.S. port operations within four to six months to an unrelated American buyer and laid out new details about how it plans to pursue the sale under pressure from Congress.

DP World said that until the sale is finalized, its U.S. businesses will be operated independently. The announcement was the first time DP World described its plans for the U.S. operations as a "sale" and indicated it would retain no stake in them.

I don't listen to Rush often...but I did catch his show yesterday...and his take on CNN, the polls, etc. was right on target. I have a few lib colleagues who love to walk around spouting the polls...but when asked who was polled, when, how, what has Hillary/Bill/Kerry et. al. ever accomplished for our country...they start to come unhinged. It is easy to tell who the MSM drones are among the people you know...they can spout off some crazy poll numbers...maybe even try to talk about Global Warming non-sense...but if you ask for details to back up their claims...they cannot carry-on an intelligent discourse.
