And you see no major changes in geo-politics since then? OK. I see a lot more attacks on U.S. interest in that region and a lot of down sizing that is making us dependent on other nations. So why aren't we cutting more deals with India instead? Location wise it's doable with less the security risk. Even the PI's isn't that far away. This isn't the day of 16 knots per hour ships.

(If it was wrong for Clinton why do some support it for Bush? Party over nation destroys the nation.)

I anticipated that my next question for you would be how long it would take to steam from Australia to the Straits of Hormuz? PI. Phillipine Islands? How long from there? India would be a good deal better. Hopefully the Pres. was working on that while he was ignoring this teapot tempest.
And, no, I'm not happy with his handling of this. I don't think he should have ignored it, but thinking it was a non-issue, I have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

This isn't the day of 16 knots per hour ships. That would be pretty under powered ship, to only be able to get up to 16 knots or from 10 to 26 knots in a whole hour.
Hint: knots == nautical miles per hour. Knots per hour would thus be nautical miles/hour/hour, an accelleration not a speed.
Odd mistake for a "snipe" to make.
