We national security, America first conservatives just cleaned your globalist free trade clock so I suppose you are a little miffed. Maybe you should go to bed and relax.

Snicker....The divestiture is not even a done deal yet, and the fact that America has wrung a concession out of a Dubai state-owned company has the appeasers apoplectic.

They didn't get a clue, even though they aligned themselves with Schumer and Clinton.

As you aligned yourself with Bill Clinton...Dubai's consultant-in-chief.

How many votes did y'all must in the Congress again?

Two?

Kolbe and Moran?

Pretty sad...

LOL. Did you type that with a straight face? This Congressman is contradicting THREE Generals, the POTUS, the U.S. Navy, and Coast Guard.

Oh, now that must never happen. No other opinions allowed other than the party line.

But don't worry - Bush has promised to veto any bill to stop the sale. I just have to wonder why he is so determined to see this through.

Maybe he's a secret Muslim. Or maybe, he's actually the Emir of Abu Dhabi's adopted son. Ever think of that?

"Boeing is not going to be happy to be rid of them."

It's true that Boeing went in the hole after 9/11 and laid off thousands of workers, which drastically affected the
economy in this area, but they're going to have to live with the UAE's decision to pull out of the port deal...and, potentially, the loss of numerous contracts.

Money doesn't mean diddly if you're dead!

We need a Senate investigation to find out how Bush kept these foreign airlines in the US a secret.

I never blamed the President for the foreign ownership issue. I put that square on Congress.

This is bipartisian insanity.

I have one thing to say to you:

62-2.

Sorry if the rest of us didn't want to go over a political cliff with you and Kolbe and Moran.

This is a sign of things to come in the GOP. On the ports issue and immigration the nationalists are stopping the WSJ free trade open borders types.

How about they let the US to take control of their ports for our military ships?"

I thought we do that already.

Old adage: Follow the money.

If you believe that in this case, you're a naive fool. This is about power politics on an international level. Money is only a medium of exchange.

Good one! :-)

That'd make a great tagline, but I really like the one I have now. ;-)

We are not appeasers. You are shortsighted. That's why you can't answer the very simple question I asked you many hours ago.

That's what kneejerking is all about. Instant gratification and no long-term planning/result.

The rhetoric was getting out of control, with people accusing a Congressman of being less than candid.

Speaking of being candid, where does that quote say that the UAE let them do it?

This smacks more and more of Bush Sr. financing Saddam Insane which only served to bite us later.

Actually, Reagan financed Saddam Insane during the Iran-Iraq war after the Iranian Hostage Crisis that Carter couldn't figure out how to resolve.

I suggest to you, that chalking up political victories in numbers is something I wouldn't be doing, were I you.

What's economic blackmail is deep-sixing the $6.8 billion foreign investment in this country, which would have wiped out the debt this country has run up since 2001.

Whaaaat?

Our country isn't full of backstabbing, self-detonating terrorists.

Name one suicide bomber from the UAE.
