Ohioans won't support total smoking ban

People who smoke often reckon that smoking a cigarette helps them to concentrate and feel more alert.

However, research seems to show that smokers in fact have a slower thinking speed than non-smokers.

Tests also show that smoking can make you less intelligent.

It is thought that smoking causes some damage to blood vessels that supply the brain.

Dr Jennifer Glass, a professor at the University of Michigan, said of the new research, ‘Perhaps it will give smokers one more reason to quit’.
