Welcome to the weekly Nascar at FR thread!
This week - the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400, March 12 and Busch Series Sam's Town 300, March 11 at Las Vegas Speedway.
The Craftsman Series is off this week-end.
Sending him to the end of the line cost him at least thirty race championship points and probably a lot more!!! (Worse than the #48 losing Chad Knauss, I might add.) This dropped him out of the top ten in the race for the Cup by only four points!
Thank you, i'm too tired to go hunting and didn't want to wait!
I'll be sending a few more bucks to Mr K tomorrow...
No problem, Here's to Howard doing well in the upcoming primary.
Thanks, he needs it.
I've been pushing my customers to donate and picked up yard signs to plant in Rancho Santa Fe tomorrow.
Heh.... funny! How'd I do in the race?
Can't say here in FR...Too many guys wanting a fast woman here an all...Besides, rumor hasn't died down yet about you being a newlywed!
~LOL~ :~D
It's not EASY being Jr...........
en there was the unofficial Dale Earnhardt Jr fan club who hit a frenzy level when they spied their favorite driver. At the back side of the California Speedway's garage area is gate 31. It allows the drivers access from the private compound, where their motor homes are parked, to the garage. Gate 31 has become well known to racing fans as a great source to get driver autographs.
The area around Gate 31 was loaded with fans on race morning and when Dale Jr came through all hell literally broke loose. They quickly formed a large, but very tight, circle around him and were literally bouncing him back and forth while trying to hand him things to sign. One woman actually reached for the top of his head while trying to get a hair souvenir. Thankfully, three County Sheriff's Deputies were at the scene. Two of them ran into the crowd and ordered to them to back up and give Dale Jr room. The third Deputy grabbed him by the back of his arms and actually ran him through a doorway leading into one of the garage buildings. You could actually see the look of panic in Earnhardt's eyes when the crowd engulfed him. Not since old video of the Beatles arriving in America have I seen a crowd move in on a celebrity that fast and I truly felt sorry for him.

You didn't say you were there! ;)
LOL
I would be very tempted to take a whack at a few of those nutty women who bother him all the time. Maybe he needs a bouncer, I will apply for the job. I mean really, trying to pull our his hair, that is way out of line!! I feel sorry for him, where can he go for a little peace and quiet?
He has been known to complain about security at the tracks, He did the same thing his father did once and parked his chair next to the Nascar hauler to sign autographs. None of the Nascar people including Helton could get in or out.
He could always come to my house. We just couldn't tell son in law. :)
