BWHAHAHA!!! It didn't take long did it? I expect more 'conservatives' to come out against this Hollywood 'garbage' as the release date gets closer. It's all about Bush and Republicans, it has to be!!
Unfortunately the work this movie is based upon was released as a comic book in Great Britain in the early 1980s. The author even addresses the concerns, 20 years ago, of surveillance equipment (cameras) on the streets of London. And what do we have in some cities overseas today? And what do cities here in the US advocate? It doesn't have a damn thing to do specifically with Bush. What it does have to do with is an intrusive government that takes away the freedoms of the citizens in order to protect them.
Conservatives shouldn't have any problem with this movie. Republicans in their partisan beliefs may though

And what freedoms have been taken away from the Left, hmmm? On the contrary its the Left that has assaulted our values, made judges our masters and gone to great lengths to disarm us in the War On Terror. The notion their liberties are being threatened is laughable. We live in a world that's run by the ACLU instead of a Christian zealot like Chancellor Sutler. The Left has everything exactly backwards as usual.

It doesn't have a damn thing to do specifically with BushWe are treated to newscasts about how "America's War [on terror] spread to England." One character--a gay, British Jay Leno type who hosts a latenight show--keeps a secret vault of prohibited items, including a giant poster of "the Coalition of the Willing," depicting the American and British flags surrounding a swastika. Think about our troops fighting and dying in Iraq, before you decide to give your dollars to this film. Do you really think they are Nazis?
You are correct, the movie has nothing to do with BUSH...-sarc

I think it's exactly about Bush and the way the Left perceives him. It's just the old trick of changing the time and the place of a story to try to be clever. Operas did it all the time--they made contemporary political points by using stories out of antiquity of mythology. That said, it may very well be a great movie. I hope so--we've had precious few lately.
