We likewise threaten them with large fluxes of neutrons and short wavelength electromagnetic radiation. :P

Iran is a cancer that can only be cured with a massive dose of radiation.

With all due respect the reason why I think Iran does not have a weapon yet is because Israel would never allow it. Tel Aviv is ground zero, most Israelis know this, and the country's leadership is not going to stand by and allow Tehran to go nuclear regardless of what the rest of the world says (China and Russia for the most part).

If we are lucky, you and I won't know anything about it until afterwards.
If the New York Times gets a copy of it, they will publish it as fast as possible. Like tomorrow, if they get it today.

Iran Threatens U.S. With 'Harm and Pain And all this time I thought they were wishing us comfort and joy. Does this mean we're now on double secret probation again with Iran? Ooh, I'm shaking.

There is a distinct danger that the Iraq mess (and despite progress made there, it is that), and the Demonrats knee-jerk opposition to anything the POTUS might do, may thwart a proper and timely (read: before we are nuked)response.

Rush-Distant Early Warning- Lyrics By Neil Peart
An ill wind comes arising
Across the cities of the plain
There's no swimming in the heavy water
No singing in the acid rain
Red alert
Red alert
It's so hard to stay together
Passing through revolving doors
We need someone to talk to
And someone to sweep the floors
Incomplete
Incomplete
The world weighs on my shoulders
But what am I to do?
You sometimes drive me crazy
But I worry about you
I know it makes no difference
To what you're going through
But I see the tip of the iceberg
And I worry about you...
Cruising under your radar
Watching from satellites
Take a page from the red book
Keep them in your sights
Red alert
Red alert
Left and rights of passage
Black and whites of youth
Who can face the knowledge
That the truth is not the truth?
Obsolete
Absolute

Unless the Russians, the French or the Germans do it for them. Or Al Queda, penetrating our porous borders, hand carry one into the homeland.

Many of the people of Iran want freedom, a revolution will come to the leaders of this country and they will be destroyed, by thier own hand.
If they continue this line while playing the nuclear game, they will learn, what Iraq's leaders of the past learned.
Mess with the U.S., and watch your world get rocked.

Well Bush and Cheney said they could not have a nuke. I don't know where we are going to get the ground forces necessary to do all this. Our people are pretty thin now. It will take a few hundred thousand to do the job. You can bomb the place flat, but that will not end it. We certainly can send in a few hundred bombers and jet fighter-bombers, and missiles to do the job. But, eventually, this will lead to a mess if we do bomb, and ground troops may become necessary.

Re Iran, all I have to say is "Bring it on, Achmed -- but before you do, you might ask the Japanese what it's like when Uncle Sam brings the pain in return."

Not from this president. I don't think he cares about the polls, the dems, and he certainly doesn't care about getting re-elected.
This has to be handled NOW. The sooner the better. If these guys get nukes, they will use them. If they get nukes, the BEST we can hope for is that they use them after they manufacture only two or three. If they get nukes, a nuclear war is guaranteed. Hit them now before they are fully armed.

The UN Security Council has 15 members: 5 permanent (US, France, UK, Russia, and China) and 10 rotating. The 5 permanent were the primary WW II victors.
