The divide between conservative and liberal America was on full display at the Oscars, with both the winners and losers championing social and political topics heralded by the left.
Across the United States, in blogs and on call-in radio talk shows, conservatives seethed that their point of view was not represented in the choice films honored with nominations -- let alone among those given awards.

This year another hit with Christian overtones was the film "The Chronicles of Narnia...which has raked in more than 637 million dollars in ticket receipts around the world...
Narnia's ticket sales nearly equaled those of the five best picture Oscar nominees combined.

Was in a nice restaurant with my daughter and I noticed some people twisting their heads around to see the host, "John not-so-much Stewart" saying things like Dick Cheney shot that woman who dressed in a goose-type outfit last year. He is so not funny.
The nmorons in the restaurant couln't hear a darn thing, but they had to see it anyway for some reason. Probably wanted to see who came on stage krunk.

Museums? Hmmmmm.........have to be more specific. Although I do not think the Louvre would qualify for the designation, but Liberace's (gag) La Vegas museum would. And Graceland.
Well, the Brooklyn museum had an exhibit with a cow dung Madonna that outraged a lot of people. The moronic Mapplethorpe exhibit a few years ago got a lot of folks angry...then there's the exhibit on Darwin at the Museum of Natural History that is ticking off people. The New York Armory Show of 1913 was also a huge scandal.

No, Moore's film grossed $119M. The same sort of morons that went to see "Brokeback Mountain" over and and over again, did the same thing with F911. And....it did not work. Only two folks gained from F911, GW Bush, because it showed what dummies the left-wing Democrats were/are, and that they would never lift a finger to protect America, and "fat boy" Michael Mooore who still laughs when he goes to the bank. The gay folks with their "Brokeback Mountain" come up shorthanded on every count. They'd have been better off if the film had never been made!!!

For years, Hollywarped's busy entertainment industry has chipped away at Western civilzation under the guise of "artistic expression." Politically correct Hollywarped films, TV and music are loaded up with gratuitous sex and violence, then Follywood types get thoughtful and start talking about "artistic meaning."

Hollywarped's MO includes endless poselytizing, continuous brainwashing of audiences into Christian-hating and American-hating, and subtle and not-so-subtle social commentaries.
Follywood firmly believes that 24/7 of their sexually salacious and violent TV, movies and music are not harming kids and the culture.
OTOH, Hollywarped also believes----with the religious fervor of Tammy Faye Baker---- that a single 15-sec commercial will compel tens of millions of Americans into thousands of stores to buy billions of dollars worth of soap, soup, breakfast cereal and cars.
They can't have it both ways.

Having known quite a few Hollywood types over the years, I can sincerely assure you that there is no conspiracy to bring down western civilization. Mostly they are just trying to get by and pay the mortgage in a highly volatile business with close to zero job security.
In regards to the disconnect they seemingly have between the impact of movies and ads, they'd probably say the two aren't related. Like comparing a novel and poem. Each is designed to perform a different function -- the movie to tell a story and the ad to sell soap.
That said, the worst they can be accused of is not understanding how profoundly their product and the illusions they impacts people. Their products -- films etc. -- act as a window on the world for a lot of people. While the illusion of a "glamorous lifestyle" incites feelings of jealously and loathing.
