Does it matter?
It's still got to be Second Hand Smoke. Or something.
RIP.
"It's still got to be Second Hand Smoke. Or something."
My best friend died two years ago from lung & liver cancer. She never smoked and never drank.
Yeah. It's got to be something...it's called being genetically pre-disposed. These things run in families. Her Dad died of lung cancer, her Mother of brain cancer and she has a remaining brother and sister who are terrified of their fate, as well.
They may as well just kill themselves right now, Eh? They may have accidentally inhaled cigarette smoke at some point in their meaningless lives. Good Grief.
or something?
People get cancer. Most types of Cancer are still NOT attributable to anything specific. Every other year a new food or chemical "may" be cancerous. I have a good friend who's never smoked, or lived with a smoker etc. who recently had a bout with lung cancer. Hopefully all the tissue was removed. Her doctors have stated it's probably not lifestyle related.
Could be Radon
My guess is, when a non-smoker gets lung cancer, it is more likely from radon or asbestos exposure than second-hand smoke.
Sometimes cancer just happens.
There are a lot of things that cause lung cancer. Many lung cancers start as cancers in other parts of the body and move to the lung. Second hand smoke is not the boogey man that the MSM has painted it to be.
I suspect she may have had skin cancer which ended up in her lungs. Or she may have gotten mesothelioma from some asbestos product, like an old hair dryer.
Suffice it to say that there are many paths to lung cancer.
Nope, not second-hand smoke. There was an oncologist talking about it on the radio here. She was one of the few that didn't get it from being around smoking.
They don't know why some people get it when they don't smoke (and not exposed to second-hand smoke). Genetics does play a role, but they don't know how much of a role. They don't know if it is environmental or not.
