But a second glance caught the film crew, catering buses and cinema equipment and quickly dispelled any concern that the Fourth Reich had quietly dawned in Germany over the weekend. One can never be too sure.

The movie is a reaction of the German left-wing that were slamming "Der Untergang" (the Downfall) - an oscar-nominated German movie about Hitler's last days, partly based on new information from Hitler`s secretary, which - although rather matter of fact, they somehow keep portraying as "glorifying" Hitler because it was made by Conservatives.
This Hitler comedy will be a parody of that movie and the libs hired a Jewish director for it as a shield against criticism.
I fail to see how making a comedy of Hitler is morally superior to a more realistic approach. I mean when you show the truth of the total destruction that Hitler led the Germans too... isn't that a better life's lesson for people then to make Hitler out to be funny???
This is another case of the Left thinking they have a better way and complete missing the point. And shame on then for hiding behind a Jewish director, that is just plain cowardly.
The Left are idiots and cowardly scum and that this the real story behind this so-called film.

I've seen "Der Untergang" and there is nothing in it which even remotely glorifies Hitler. I'm not sqeamish but that film made my skin crawl. When Magda Göbbels poisoned the kids I could barely watch the screen. I would not recommend it for anyone with a weak stomach.
I can't imagine why anyone thinks they need to "answer" that film. "Der Untergang" is the strongest anti-Nazi film I can imagine.

It will be difficult to make a "comedy" about hitler unless your name is Mel Brooks. JMO
