The clock is ticking down while our supposed representatives hope that you won't lift a finger or raise your voice in your own defense. Here's your chance to prove them wrong and remind them that they rule at the will of their constituents.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
These "gold card" holders will undoubtedly be allowed to bring wife (mamacita) and family here and will be dropping anchor babies left and right.
Just shows how out of touch the hacks in DC are to even call it a "gold card". Like these illegals scammed their way in here and won the lottery. Australia is an immigrant nation and doesn't have such idiotic immigration policies. The skunks in DC are determined to make this nation into a Brazil
Those are Mexican/Central American Indians (and half Indians) and they're staking their claim. They too want to take a big bite out of the USA. Historical truth is irrelevant to them
Another "ruse" was the 2004 budget wich called for 10,000 new border patrol agents...
Bush's current budget cuts more than 9,700 out.
They aren't. The great leader (Bush) has been clear on this from the start. We just didn't notice.
The certainly are not listening to their base.
Bush is building a new base. To hell with the old base. He sees these illegals as the "new Amerians". We "old Americans" are just dupes.
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico. George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000. |
Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:
In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. My Bush Epiphany By Lawrence Auster
What on earth makes these jerks think that ILLEGALS are ever going to register for anything? Calling it a "gold card" is not like winning the lottery, despite it's name.
Read the word of Bush prior to the election. It's not about money or pandering. He sees these people as more noble and deserving than the American people. He sees them as the "new America" and has always felt that way.

We need the military on our borders, not in Iraq. We are being invaded and many of our elected officials think this is just great.
Anything less than mass expulsion will strip away the pretence of patriotism, honor, and virtue one may have for opposing the flood of illegals into the country. Now, people can drool in an ecstacy of hatred, advocate murder violence and savagery (more posts are pulled from immigration threads than any other I have seen..... wonder why?).. and if they are called on it they can just blame it frustration at the porous border and "no see um" policies of the fed. In other words people can and do express the most vile attitudes here cloaked in a veneer of concern for noble ideals. If we do ANYTHING less than a mass expulsion, they won't have a basis for their vomitings of hatred and they will be shown for the base, vile, despicable little haters they are. That is part of the reason why politicians are attacked with such vehemence on the issue.
There are a variety of solutions proposed for the issue of the border, some of them being "open border" and some being "closed border," and some being "amnesty" and some being "no amnesty of any kind." Whatever the solution is, it is going to involve compromise. Ideological purists who stand in a corner screeching that anything less than untarnished commitment to xxxxx will be met with abandonment at the next election are just idiots to whom I respond, "please go NOW and shut up about it!" The Buchanan brigades are full of ..... "exciteable" folk who threaten to break out the staves and pitchforks and storm the castle every time one may compromise. I think they have found a home on FR, and I really think they cloister here on the immigration threads.
Memo to GWB and Specter: Go imitate brokeback mountain.
This is unreal. How the heck are you going to do a background check on someone who goes by ten names, already engages in id fraud, and has no real roots?
Second, this is amensty.
Third, there are way more than 11 million illegals here. The idiots in DC, GWB included, created this disaster and now tell us we need amensty to cure it.
Fourth, they don't want more labor, they want cheap labor.
Fifth, WTF is this "worker investment account"????
Wait till the bots show up and defend this. They will give the same old tired excuses and strategery. I am sick of strategery.
Stay home??????? It seems like pitch fork time to me. This is absolutely unreal.
Go watch the Omen and tell me GWB is not Damien Thorn on this issue.
"3) Many employers *still* will prefer entirely undocumented workers because they can't sue (well, that is changing) and there is less paperwork."
I have been saying that for months. You regular average joe who works for a company has no clue why these employers prefer illegals. They usually are afraid to sue; the employer does not pay taxes on the payroll, the insurance is cheaper, its easier to fire these people, etc etc.
This will have long lasting effects making the 1965 bill look like nothing.
The only good part of that would be the Brazilian women!
Other than that, you are very right.
So long as employers have ZERO to fear and everything to gain from hiring illegals, it will continue.
This shamensty will only make the problem worse since employers are still going to want even cheaper labor and there will be plenty of freash illegals to work under the table.
Additionally, many of these illegals will not participate in this program if it means they can't work for cash under the table like before.
Another thing, how is the IRS going to track these people for unpaid taxes?
This plan is so obvious an attempt to destroy and obliterate our country its not even funny.
Ok Einstein, lets say you buy a house after saving up for years. You buy the house are proud of it, worked your butt off etc etc, and some illegal squaters come along and drop themselves on your property. What do you do when they refuse to leave and call you a racist and tell you that it is good for you?
