Puckett dies after massive stroke

PHOENIX — Twins Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett died tonight.

Puckett suffered a massive stroke Sunday morning at his home in Scottsdale, Ariz., and underwent surgery. He had been transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.

Family members assembled at the hospital Monday to make the decision on life support. The people with knowledge of Puckett’s condition said he was expected to be removed from the life support sometime Monday.

he had some lady accuse him of sexual assault, but the charges were dropped and she was found out to be a professional scammer.

This is just sick. The man just died. The family is guaranteed to be in tatters, especially his young children. They don't need some internet guy trashing their father.

You need to get a life.

prayers lifted - the suddeness of the whole thing should cause everyone some pause and reflection

Marital difficulties and a trial for a sexual assault on a female patron at a bar, for which he was aquitted.

But, you know how that goes.

Aquittal or not, most folks just winked and nodded, and his image as a sports hero in MN took a huge hit.

Prior to the assault charges, they would've named a stadium after him.

I was at game 6 of the 91 series. Unbelievable roar of the crowd when he was introduced. Will never forget that game. RIP
