Jesse Jackson Bashes Bush on Budget Cuts
NewsMax ^ | 7 March 2006 | Carl Limbacher

The Rev. Jesse Jackson bashed President Bush at a church service, calling him a "wolf in sheep’s clothing” and accusing him of showing "two faces” to the public.

"He comes smiling and showing himself to be friendly, then he goes to Washington and cuts Medicare and Medicaid,” Jackson said at Brown Chapel AME Church in Selma, Ala.

Jackson spoke at the annual observance of "Bloody Sunday” – the day in 1965 when law enforcement officers attacked civil rights proponents attempting to march from Selma to Montgomery.

Jackson also urged those in the church – headquarters for the Selma voting rights movement – to donate money for its renovation, the Montgomery Advertiser reports.

He told the congregation: "Come on, some of ya’ll are cheap. We give so much to bling-bling and other foolishness.”

Jackson chipped in $100 himself.

In an interview with the Advertiser following the church service, Jackson said that with President Bush, "You’re not going to get mean-spirited language, but you are going to get wolf-life priorities.”

All the Freepers who are hopping angry at Republicans for spending too much - Jesse is helping you to remember the alternative.

Jackson ...told the congregation: "Come on, some of ya’ll are cheap. We give so much to bling-bling and other foolishness.”

Did JJ have anything to say when Bill Cosby said basically the same thing?

With his millions, ol' Jesse chipped in a measly $100 to help renovate a Selma Church. That's tithing, eh Reverend? As for the Bush cuts, what cuts? I'd like you to name ONE.

And of course the Federal government is the only entity capable of helping anyone in this country. Sheesh. Maybe if the Rainbow Coalition did more actual charity work rather than suing corporations and blaming everything on evil Republicans, Jesse wouldn't see the government as the solution to every problem.

It takes more than Jesse to remind this Freeper of the alternative.

I'm thinking that the church needs to examine their tax exempt status rules before letting such a mooch use their pulpit for self-enrichment purposes.

Jesse Who? Is he relevant? Was he ever relevant? Was he ever elected to anything where he could claim he spoke for those that elected him?

Ignore him like you would a mumbling wino.

Those aren't cuts. They're reductions in the rates of increase.

Nice try, though, Jackson.

Like a hate crime, black churches have nothing to fear from the tax exemption people.

Jesse Jackson has never had a real job. He is nothing but a race pimp who makes millions by forcing his face onto the TV and inserting his ugly mug into every situation that he can.
He has blackmailed many companies into donating to his tax free foundation with threats of litigation if they don't pay up.
Every breath he takes in is a waste of good air.

I didn't see any references to the fact that when "Bloody Sunday" took place, that most of the southern states where the worst violations of civil rights took place were run by DEMOCRATS!

That ass is still trying to sell that line. It was just this last week shown how much more the cut has brought in to the govt.as far as tax revenue. Loud mouth Jackson wouldn't know any thing about that-He's never run anything more than His mouth

"Jackson spoke at the annual observance of "Bloody Sunday” – the day in 1965 when law enforcement officers attacked civil rights proponents attempting to march from Selma to Montgomery.'

That was the Johnson administration if memory serves me right. And if I also recall, Wallace was a Democrat.
