McCain has done nothing but try and undermine Bush whenever he can. Would Bush want a VP to be doing this? Chaney has been as loyal a VP as anyone would want. CBS should think about selling out to Rupert Murdock.

Exactly why I couldn't vote for McCain, and why I could force myself to vote for Rudy(he may be a RINO but at least he's a loyal RINO and NOT HILLARY)

"How about Cheney/Bush in 2008? Or isn't that legal?"

That can be easily and legally arranged any time. Bush resigns the presidency, Cheney moves into the WH, then he appoints Bush to the open VP slot.... hmmmmm...

There have been a lot of straws lately. Making McCain the VP would be the last one. No GOP candidate would ever get another dollar from me, and i'd vote libretarian in the next presidential election. You can only get spit on so many times by your "own" guys before you quit putting up with it.

I voted for McCain for Senate in 1998. (Not again in 2004, I learned my lesson.)

If it was Hillary vs. McCain, I'd vote for McCain and take a very long shower afterwards.

If McCain was up against someone like Lieberman or Edwards, I'd vote third party.

CBS had to go with this story - they got a memo from a Kinko's in Texas.

"So if it's Hillabeast vs. McCain, you would sit it out?

Seriously, would Hillabeast winning be a wake-up call to the nation? Or would she not win, even against McCain?"

Can someone explain the difference between the two? I don't see any difference except for "D" or "R" next to their names.

The upside is that McCain would have to either SHUT UP or tow the party line for 2 years!

In the dark sea of bad news for Republicans, John McCain stands out as its shining light.

That line had me picturing McPain on his hands and knees, shining a light on the ground, as he looked for his sanity. I have watched him over the years and sometimes I can't help but think he is really off his rocker and, once in a while, the sickness and insanity peek through.

Later this week the first cattle call of 2008 Republican Presidential wannabes . . . .

Is this the way a serious reporter reports the news? Should a writer who writes this way expect the GOP to listen to her advice?

John McCain, the DNC's favorite Republican.

How about Cheney/Bush in 2008? Or isn't that legal?

No, it would not be legal.

President Bush is not eligible to be President again. Therefore he is not eligible ot be Vice-President.

"But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States." -Amendment XII

"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." -Amendment XXII

Me neither. There is no scenerio that will cause me to vote for McCain.

I'm no fan of McCain either - but would even THIS scenerio still prevent you from voting for McCain:

President Hillary Clinton?

How about replacing Cheney with Rush Limbaugh - then see what happens to the calls for impeaching Bush!?

McCain can't win a presidential primary because he's in the Republican party, and Republicans won't vote for him. And he can't win a general presidential election, because no matter how much they claim to love him, his bestest buddies on the left side of the aisle are still going to vote Democratic no matter who the Democratic candidate is.

If there's ever a Republican primary where only Democrats are allowed to vote, he is soooo gonna kick ass. He's the ginchiest.

I just heard a report on the radio news...that a poll came out today that said that Guiliani was the most popular of all of the possible POTUS candidates...

Putting McCain as his VP would be the WORST mistake he could make...Cheney needs to stay, (unless his health truly keeps him from finishing the term).
