VIENNA, Austria Mar 6, 2006 (AP)— The head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency expressed cautious optimism Monday on the chances of reaching an international agreement to defuse concerns about Iran's nuclear activities and make U.N. Security Council action unnecessary.

The International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-member board was not likely to discuss the Iran issue until Tuesday or Wednesday. But delegates said that whatever step the council might take would stop far short of sanctions.

This proves Elbaradie can find optimism where there is none to be found. His is a mischarachterization of the situation, particularly Iran's threats leading up to the meeting...

Whatever deal this putzhead may make with Iran will be laughable and so tranparently one sided in Irans favor as to be a joke. Iran will use any time they gain by it to continue their Nuclear quest.

The UN continues to show their ineffectiveness in dealing with tyrants and rogue states. In a few months Iran will undoubtedly be testing their nukes.
