Some telecommuters work in the nude SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 5 (UPI) -- Some 10 percent of worldwide telecommuters wear nothing at all while working at home, finds a survey by the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based SonicWALL.
About 39 percent of respondents of both sexes said they wear sweats while working from home, but 12 percent of males and 7 percent of females wear nothing at all, according to a survey of 941 remote and mobile workers worldwide conducted by Insight Express and SonicWALL, a provider of integrated network security and productivity solutions.
Forty-four percent of women surveyed said they showered on work-at-home days, as opposed to 30 percent of men.
Seventy-six percent of the employees surveyed believe that working remotely from home is an aid to productivity and 61 percent are convinced that their managers agree with them.
More than half of the survey's respondents accessed the corporate network from home on a daily basis, with 86 percent logging in remotely several times a week.

Guess the Fed-X gal or UPS guy never shows up at the home 10% of telecommuters. Both show up at my house nearly every day, sometimes twice if someone sends an "overnight/morning guaranteed" package, and I'd sure feel uncomfortable signing my name while naked. I'm in a leather desk chair 10-12 hours a day and it wouldn't be very comfy in the nude either. It'd bring a whole new meaning to butt 'n tuck. |
The irony is that the supposively skeptical press just reports things like this without considering that someone might be putting them on.
I am sure somewhere someplace at sometime someone typed something to the office nude. But seriously, 10%?
Hide the kids, pull the shades, and turn off the Oscars... |
Why does everybody got to bag on this old bag. I'll bet that a 100 years ago she might have been a real looker, even if she is a nasty old gasbag today.
I thought FReepers FReeped in their pajamas.
Nope, she wasn't ever hot, apparently.
And who do they think really cares?
ewwwww OK I now have one more reason to be glad I am on the no call list.
I do both on a regular basis.
That pic is wrong, on so many levels.
For one thing, Teddy drinks Scotch, not Tennessee sour mash.
I could start...
I'm working from home this week. Plan to get out of my jammies by lunch time most days. Or maybe not.....the cat doesn't care and the mailbox is at the bottom of the drive, so no one would know!
I think I am going to have some horrible nightmares tonight (thanks to that photo of the "lovely" Helen Thomas).
Do a search for Hillary on Google images and you'll find some "interesting" pictures ;)
Too cold to sit around naked where I live. We wear sweats for jammies. I don't believe this story. Whenever I get polled by phone, I make my answers up. They are all lies, just for the fun of it.
I telecommute and can tell you that I have worked in EVERY stage of dress imaginable. Mostly comfortable shorts and t-shirt. But during the winter I might go with sweats and a sweatshirt.
Thanks, but NO THANKS!
