Some 250 Muslim students turned out at the University of Ottawa for a weekend conference.
Organizer Wajid Sayeed says it's important that as a minority, Muslim students have a good understanding of their own religeon and the reasoning behind it's beliefs.
The conference offered seminars and discussion groups featuring top notch scholars talking on topics ranging from spirituality to marriage to activism.

Last week a conservative group held a conference on Islamic extremism at University of California Irvine. Naturally, the Muzzies had to protest the event as intolerant, offensive and an insult to Islam.
They set up orange cones with male Muzzies on one side of the cones and female Muzzies on the other.
There were a lot of photos on LGF.
