I boycott them every year.
Why would self-respecting person, outside of the motion picture industry, care about a self-congratulating ceremony that confer honors on some of the world's greatest narcissists?
Other than a few jokes perhaps (I've heard a few second hand in the past; there will probably be some brokeback humor this year), the Academy Awards are a complete and pathetic waste of time.
Look for our Vice President to be on the receiving end of the "jokes". That's the best Jon Stewart will have to offer, he's such a no-talent liberal. I'm sure he's giddy with the thought of it. The hollyweird "elite" don't have a clue.
Is it any wonder I've been watching "The Andy Griffith Show" marathon this weekend?
