I wouldn't say that I'm totally happy with republicans all the time. But I remember the infantile and embarrassing actions of the the democrats during the SOTU speech; especially when Bush was talking about Social Security.
The way the dems reacted at that exact moment just reaffirmed to me that I will NEVER in my life vote for or support a dem. It was a moment that perfectly summarized the vindictive, petty, and immature nature of democrats everywhere. I imagine that alot of independent swing type voters saw this and came to similar conclusions.
Well if Dubya is any indication of what Papa Bush would've done in a second term, I'd be MORE than happy to vote for Perot again.
You can say that again.
I get the feeling you will remain the "largest party no one has heard of" for some reason......
Yeah, and if there was ONE good thing about Klinton beating Papa Bush, it was that the GOP responded with the "Contract with America". The trouble is, the doggone stinkin' RINO crapweasels we have now are happy to wipe their butts with that Contract.
Throw the bums out.
Hillary as Prez with Bill as 1st gentleman would be obscene
Expect Bill to be considered to be the next secretary general of the UN. Watch.
WOW, you sure are long winded...LOL!
Where does Pukin guarantee a 60-seat majority?
Why is the word "might" so difficult for you to understand?
You're saying what I've been thinking. Republicans need to buck up, get behind President Bush, and love their country and their party more than they love their offices. If they do that, if they get fired up and see where the real battles lie, we'll keep our Republican majority.
But if Republicans keep going down this road of second guessing the President, the War on Terror, and trying to gather "strange new respect" from Democrats, well, they might as well start cleaning out their Congressional offices.
Which section of the paper do you read first ? (If they answer the Editorial or Metro section, thank them for their time and move them on to the next house)
Can the Government solve most of our problems ? (If they answer yes, thank them for their time and move them on to the next house)
Have you ever attended the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs ? (If yes, thank them for their time and move them on to the next house)
In thirty words or less, why are you running ?
Do you believe in limiting the growth of Government to the Personal Income Index ?
If you could have dinner with anyone who has ever lived, who would it be ? (Jesus and Ghandi are excluded)
What is the difference between Macro and Micro Economics ?
Other than Karl Marx, Name one economist.
If you have held a public office, how long have you served, and name your five best accomplishments.
In the early 1930s, when Winston Churchill warned Europe about Hitler and the German war machine, people thought that he was crazy. Would you let people think that you were crazy if you believe that you're right ?
Would you take a pay-cut to solve our budget problems?
Have you ever sued anyone ?
Would you ever euphumize Unemployment Compensation into "reemployment insurance" ?
Will you limit yourself to less than four terms in office, and be willing to sign a public proclamation saying so ?
Please quote one line from the movie Caddyshack. (If they cannot, the movie Stripes is an acceptable alternative.)

"This doesn't happen from enthusiasm. It happens with money and volunteer efforts. There are threads on FR showing where the vulnerable districts are. Send money and volunteer your time to the GOP candidate in those districts."
The GOP is totally inept at everything except for fishing for contributions. We ought to know. We're able to keep the Gallows Party offices warm and toasty all winter by burning logs made of mailings from the Republican Party that stuff our mailbox every day.
Hear that crackling from our fireplace? Must be another 8-page survey from the GOP.

Which sounds swaggeringly smug, except that if you've never been an activist and never sent money to vulnerable districts before, your position costs the GOP nothing.
If you choose to take the low and unprincipled road and act in a way that optimizes the chances for the leftward most viable candidate to be elected, you will have to face yourself in the mirror for what you condemned your family and neighbors to.
Very good read.
I hope you're right!
Gosh PD, your savvy with words will no doubt make a difference with the swing vote...... /s
Thanks, Pukin that needed to be said. I, too, have been disgusted with many of the Freepers responses to all this DemocRAT drivel. The polls are only instruments of the liberal media to make you think you are in the minority. Keep feeling optimistic. The American people are not as dumb as the DemocRATS want to believe.
For that matter, I could say we might have an 80 seat majority.
Talk is easy and talk is cheap. Puttin your money where your mouth is becomes a tad bit closer. But the Dog could have simply said I will wager no net loss in seats or a net gain of 3 seats.
But my number, based on the wiggle room you are allowing, is just as valid as his number. We both pulled it out of the air.
