I am looking through my own biology text from 1993, "Biological Science", by Keeton and Gould.

That's a college text. The concerns are directed at the middle and high school texts and there doesn't seem to be any dispute that they are legitmate concerns.

Creationists are really looking silly being self-righteous about this when their own house is in such disorder, veracity wise.

When state ed. departments start buying creationist textbooks, I'm sure they will be more than scrutinized.

It's the same presentation that I had in my high school texts. Haeckel's theories were always shown to have been in error, even if the drawings were based on them. The biogenic theory has not been taught for a long, long time.

The drawings were found to be fraudulent in 1874. Haeckel confessed that they were in 1909. That constitutes a wait.

And it continues to be a very long wait.

Since I am not about to transcribe the whole thing, you must listen to it to get the context. BTW, I'm not prepared in any fashion to believe that facts are false, that is why I check things.

He does with me, and the links he provided are accurate. Do you dispute any of them or are you just going to hand-wave them away because you don't like the fact I linked to Ichneumon? If I had provided the same links (and I was tempted to do so), would that have meant you would have actually looked at them this time?

They accurately displayed what the creationists claimed. They then showed the actual passages the quotes were ripped from. Again, you hand wave it away because... well, that's all you have. :)

BTW, I remember that thread you had that disagreement with Ichneumon on. He was 100% correct. The website did not say that phylogenies were finalized. *Definitive* means the best available, not that it's the final position. You did not look very good in that thread; I am surprised you would wish to relive it again.

The sad thing about the crevo debate is the fanaticism with which evo critics are attacked, and not necessarily because they are creationist. Fred Hoyle never got a Nobel Prize and some think that was because he was an evo skeptic.
