What a self-examining read this can be.

No wonder you Yanks chose Washington as your first President. This one's a keeper, to be taped to my bathroom mirror.
Thanks, cougar_mccxxi!

Spit not into the fire, nor stoop low before it; neither put your hands into the flames to warm them, nor set your feet upon the fire, especially if there be meat before it. Can't a guy have any fun any more?

Thanks for posting these - they're very revealing. Some are obviously too dated to be anything other than curiosities but many are very applicable. What a different world. In many ways, a more civilized world. We (as a social body) would do well to learn some lessons in respect and courtesy.
Wag - thought you would like these if you haven't seen them before, maybe pingees would too.

That is going to get broken up into usable sizes and used in Boy Scouts. What an addition to all we have and use now this is to mold the Scouts into Gentlemen of Character and standing.

Can we make teenagers read and agree to these rules before they are allowed into a shopping mall? ;)
